Projects slip when no one owns the whole picture
Most projects don’t fail on the technical work. They slip in the gaps between contractors, suppliers, budget and the people running the operation.
Project delivery puts one accountable project manager across all of it, from the first scope to final handover.
Signs a project needs a delivery lead
- Dates slipping with no single programme
- Scope or budget moving without control
- An internal team too busy to run it
- Several contractors or suppliers to coordinate

Engineering and industrial project management
One delivery lead across every part of the project, from first scope to final handover.
Programme and planning
One programme across every contractor and supplier, planned around the running operation.
Contractor coordination
Contractors and suppliers managed on site to that programme, through to testing and commissioning.
Budget and change control
Budget tracked against approval, with scope changes costed and agreed before work proceeds.
Health and safety
Contractor safety and CDM 2015 duties managed on site, alongside the Principal Contractor.
Operational readiness
People, systems and processes ready to run the new setup from the day it is handed over.
Stakeholder reporting
Progress, cost and risk reported to operations, finance and procurement in one place.
How each project is run
Scope
Objectives, budget, programme and risks agreed with the operation before work starts.

Project delivery questions
What does a project delivery consultant do?
A project delivery consultant owns the project on the client side: scope, programme, budget, contractors and handover, with regular reporting to the business. Specialist contractors and engineers carry out the technical work. The consultant makes sure it is coordinated, controlled and finished to programme.
Can a project manager be hired for a single project?
Yes. Outsourced project management suits businesses without an internal project team, or with a team already stretched by the day job. Support can cover a single project or run as an interim role until a post is filled.
What size and type of project is covered?
Anything from a single equipment install or site upgrade to a programme with many contractors. That includes line changes, fit-outs, expansions, relocations and new sites across manufacturing, logistics and automotive.
How long does a project delivery engagement last?
As long as the project needs. Scoped engagements run from scoping to handover with an agreed end point, while interim roles run on a rolling monthly term.
How is project delivery priced?
Scoped engagements are priced as a project fee, set by complexity and agreed before work starts. Interim roles are charged at an agreed day rate. The operational diagnostic is a fixed £2,450.
Where is the work carried out?
Work follows a hybrid approach, on site across Yorkshire and the Midlands from Leeds and Sheffield to Nottingham, Derby and Birmingham, with planning and reporting carried out remotely between visits. Businesses further afield are welcome too, with site visits and remote work planned to suit the project.
Does this replace a Principal Contractor?
No. Project delivery sits on the client side. Where a project has a Principal Contractor, it keeps its duties under CDM 2015, with the delivery lead coordinating it and every other contractor to one programme and budget.
Can the project include systems, processes and people?
Yes. Most projects change more than the site itself, from new systems and processes to teams working in a different way. Change management runs alongside where training and adoption are a large part of the work, while operational transformation helps the new setup reach full output.
